The Victoria Tavern Set within the picturesque leafy woodland of Epping Forest. Close to Loughton Underground station on the central line, and just of the M25 (junction 26).
The Victoria Tavern is renowned for its award winning real ales, friendly atmosphere, excellent seasonally sourced home cooked food offering famously generous portions. No music, no televisions, no fruit machines, just a nice place to site and chat with friends.
Refurbished in May 2011, the Victoria Tavern is a welcoming, traditional and friendly place to eat and drink, the pub and garden have a friendly atmosphere with the buzz of good old conversation. The staff are all friendly, and expect a friendly welcome by the landlord James.
During the summer months the pub is known for its beautiful leafy, forest facing, pub garden which is bathed in the summer sun until late in the evening. The garden is also a great place to eat, for lunch or an evening meal any day of the week (click here for food serving times). The garden faces the front of the pub which is covered in an explosion of beautiful hanging baskets and flowers.
In the winter months the pub offers a warm, friendly and vibrant atmosphere. There are also two real open fires for patrons to warm themselves.
The food menu offers a wide range and daily changing selection of meals from 'steak and ale pie' to our award winning 'cod, chips and mushy peas'. There are always a good range of daily specials, these are changed each and every day. We also offer classic Sunday roasts and vegetarian options, all are reasonably priced.
Cask marquee accredited and Loughton's only listed pub in the 'Good beer guide', the Victoria Tavern also offers a wide selection of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks.
Everyone is welcome, including well behaved dogs. Why not have a walk around the forest and follow it with a traditional cask ale pint of beer and some good food, or visit the vibrant town of Loughton and end your trip in a calm pretty green oasis where you can unwind with a sip or two from a cool glass of wine.
we look forward to welcoming you,
